As a main sponsor of the overall British Truck Racing Championship and main sponsor of MV Commercial Racing we are getting ready for an exhilarating weekend at Donington Park as the British Truck Racing Championship hits its midpoint on August 10-11! This year’s event, part of the renowned Convoy in the Park festival, promises to be a highlight of the 2024 racing season, featuring five action-packed races that will thrill fans in attendance.
As one of the UK’s largest truck festivals, Convoy in the Park not only showcases the high-octane excitement of truck racing but also offers a host of attractions for the whole family. Alongside the BTRC races, fans can look forward to the return of the International Truck Prix, which debuted last year to great acclaim.
This weekend is also special as we celebrate the ‘Donington Truck Racing – 40th Anniversary Cup.’ This exclusive trophy will be awarded to the driver or team who demonstrates exceptional performance and presentation throughout the event. The winner will be determined by points accrued over both days, focusing on the highest scoring driver across four of the five BTRC races and the top points scorer from the International Truck Prix contests. In the event of a tie, factors like team presentations and fastest laps will play a crucial role in the final decision.
Among the competitors, Tom O’Rourke, owner of Fruehauf and team leader of MV Racing is riding high on momentum after securing his first podium of the year in the new Navistar on the last race at Thruxton.
