Fruehauf Builds On Local Ties To Support Community Employment Initiatives

Fruehauf welcomed two special guests from Grantham College this week, Claire Temprell, Vice Principal, and Kate Bird, Skills Coordinator. Their visit included an in-depth tour of the factory and a productive discussion on how best to engage and transition younger generations from education into the workforce.

Fruehauf has always recognised the importance of inspiring and involving young minds in the industry. The company is therefore exploring future collaborations with Grantham College, including apprenticeships, bootcamps, and work experience programmes. These initiatives are designed to provide students with hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing while helping them understand the expectations of modern employers.

The visit provided valuable insight from an educational perspective and offered an opportunity to showcase the dynamic working environment at Fruehauf. The tour highlighted the scale and complexity of its operations, along with the strong sense of teamwork that defines the workplace culture.

Fruehauf looks forward to developing this relationship with Claire, Kate, and the wider college team, and to building pathways that will bring the next generation of talent into the industry.
