Main sponsor Fruehauf was once again proudly represented on the British Truck Racing Championship grid, as Tom O’Rourke delivered a consistent and determined performance for MV Truck Racing during the 2025 Convoy Cymru round at Pembrey Circuit.
Driving his Division 1 International Navistar, O’Rourke secured finishes of 7th, 6th, 6th, 7th and 6th across the five races, a valuable haul of points that reinforces his steady start to the season and keeps him firmly in the championship hunt. The strong showing follows his standout podium finish at the Brands Hatch season opener, further underlining his presence as a top-ten mainstay in the Division 1 field.
Qualifying saw O’Rourke post a best lap of 1:12.872, less than two seconds off the pace, on a grid stacked with title contenders and race winners. While the tight, technical nature of the Welsh circuit limited overtaking opportunities, his composed and incident-free drives ensured clean finishes throughout a weekend marked by mechanical issues and retirements for several competitors.
In Sunday’s final race, O’Rourke crossed the line in sixth place, delivering one of his strongest performances of the meeting and matching his best result of the weekend.
The MV Truck Racing team, with ongoing support from Fruehauf, continues to demonstrate the reliability and resilience of their Navistar platform. As the championship builds momentum, their consistency is proving a valuable asset in a series where every point counts. All eyes now turn to the next round, where O’Rourke will look to build on this momentum and push further up the standings.
