The Norfolk Farming Machinery Club (NORMAC) recently visited the Fruehauf site in Grantham for a day trip that combined their regular meeting with an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience.
NORMAC is a long-established agricultural machinery group based in Norfolk, bringing together farmers, contractors and industry professionals to share knowledge, explore the latest equipment, and discuss developments in modern farming. Their focus on machinery demonstrations, operator insight and practical innovation plays an important role in supporting the future of efficient, modern agriculture.
The day began with breakfast rolls from a local butcher before moving into a series of industry-focused discussions covering emerging technologies, new machinery developments and evolving working practices across the sector.

Attendees were then given a guided factory tour led by Karl Spooner and Gary Hunt, Business Development Managers at Fruehauf. The group was taken through the manufacturing process, gaining first-hand insight into how Fruehauf’s industry-leading bulk tipping trailers are built in Britain.
Following the tour, guests enjoyed a buffet lunch while continuing conversations and networking with fellow attendees and members of the Fruehauf team.
Overall, the visit proved to be a valuable and engaging day, strengthening industry connections and sparking important discussions around the future of farming and agricultural transport.
