Fruehauf Hosts TASCC Members for Insightful Industry Exchange in Grantham

Fruehauf welcomed the members of the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops, also known as TASCC, to the Grantham site on Thursday, the 22nd of May. TASCC plays a vital role in the UK agricultural industry by ensuring the safe, traceable, and responsible trading of combinable crops intended for food, feed, and biofuel. The scheme rigorously assesses the storage and transportation of these materials, ensuring they meet the safety standards defined by both legislation and industry best practices.

The purpose of the visit was to host a periodic TASCC members’ meeting, an opportunity for members to exchange experiences, strengthen standards, and contribute to the continued development of the scheme. This time, the meeting took place at Fruehauf’s state-of-the-art facility, which proudly supports the values and practices of the TASCC scheme.

Fruehauf delivered a premium, fully catered event complete with artisan food, warm and cold drinks, and an exclusive branded tote filled with high-quality merchandise. The event was led by CEO Tom O’Rourke, whose charismatic presence and extensive industry expertise made a lasting impression on attendees.

TASCC’s mission is to minimise the risk of incidents and negative publicity within the industry, to ensure standards are met within all sectors, and to meet customer requirements in the UK and internationally. The scheme operates in alignment with other schemes under the Agricultural Industries Confederation ( AIC ), like Red Tractors, and Quality Meat Scotland where retailers make a requirement for the home-produced livestock they purchase.  As a basis of supply chain integrity, TASCC ensures that every product maintains full traceability and adheres to rigorous safety protocols, making it a key part of the UK farming industry’s quality assurance landscape.

Guests were also treated to a behind-the-scenes factory tour, providing a close-up look at the manufacturing process behind Fruehauf’s robust, industry-leading trailers.

Overall, the event was a tremendous success. The Fruehauf team was delighted to connect with so many familiar and new faces and remains committed to supporting initiatives that drive safety, transparency, and innovation in the agricultural industry. They hope this meeting will contribute to meaningful progress across the sector, giving assurance to customers, processors, and retailers alike, Fruehauf remains steadfast in its role as a collaborative partner in progress.
