Fruehauf Heads to Inaugural RTX Northern Ireland with Stand-Out Blower Trailers & MV Commercial Crane Trucks

Fruehauf is delighted to confirm its participation at the very first RTX Northern Ireland, taking place on 15–16 April 2026 at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn.

As the UK’s leading manufacturer of premium tipping trailers, Fruehauf is bringing its strongest-ever line-up to Northern Ireland, showcasing real working equipment alongside expert advice and hospitality. The debut appearance builds directly on the company’s successful support for RTX Scotland and RTX events across England, reinforcing its commitment to operators right across the UK and Ireland.

Star attractions on the Fruehauf stand

Visitors will be able to get hands-on with a powerful selection of equipment, including:

  • A fully liveried demo blower trailer complete with tractor unit – the perfect example of Fruehauf’s advanced design and manufacturing quality.
  • An MV Commercial crane-mounted truck – manufactured by Fruehauf – adding genuine fleet solutions for operators needing lifting capability alongside tipping expertise.

A dedicated hospitality unit will be on site for relaxed conversations, technical discussions and refreshments throughout both days.

Tiarnan O’Hanlon joins high-profile industry panel

Fruehauf Business Development Manager for Ireland, Tiarnan O’Hanlon, has been selected as a panelist for the event’s specialist focus-group sessions and Knowledge Zone programme. He will take part in discussions on the key challenges and developments facing the road transport sector – from fleet decarbonisation and skills shortages to compliance, road safety and sustainable technology.

The RTX Knowledge Zone features a full two-day programme of expert-led seminars, while the headline RTX Big Debate will see leading manufacturers share insights into the future of HGV technology and net-zero solutions. An RHA-led session will also explore the industry’s transition to a net-zero future.

Why RTX Northern Ireland matters

As highlighted in this month’s Commercial Motor show preview and editorial, RTX Northern Ireland is the first time the proven Road Transport Expo format has come to the province. Organised in partnership with Export & Freight and Fleet Transport, the free-to-attend event is designed as a true one-stop shop for HGV operators, fleet managers and suppliers.

Alongside static displays, visitors can enjoy the Ride & Drive Experience (test drives of the latest vehicles), extensive networking opportunities and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages real business conversations. Editor Will Shiers notes that Northern Ireland “punches above its weight” in road transport and is the ideal setting for this new event, while show director Vic Bunby describes it as “an excellent mix of quality exhibitors, knowledgeable conference sessions and a relaxed networking environment.”

Meet the Fruehauf team

The full Fruehauf contingent attending includes:

  • Tiarnan O’Hanlon (Business Development Manager – Ireland)
  • Adam Eadie (Media & Events)
  • Jonty Sillett (Sales)
  • Neale Jones (Blower Trailer Specialist)

Neale will be on hand to give in-depth technical briefings on the blower range, while the whole team is looking forward to meeting operators, answering questions and discussing how Fruehauf’s British-built trailers can deliver real gains in payload, durability and efficiency.

Tiarnan O’Hanlon commented: “RTX Northern Ireland is the perfect platform to meet Irish operators face-to-face. We’re proud to be bringing our latest blower and tipping equipment, plus the MV Commercial crane trucks we manufacture, and I’m honoured to contribute to the industry panel discussions on the big issues shaping our sector.”
