This week is National Apprenticeship Week, designed to encourage and educate others about the alternative and dynamic education alternative to university or college.
The team at Fruehauf visited Grantham College, with over 70 years of experience within education, they aim to provide a range of different practical courses for students. Fruehauf itself has apprentices who complete their studies one day a week within the college, and have developed a strong relationship with the staff.
Grantham College hosted the Employee Expo, an event which allowed employers to meet with tutors and college officials, to communicate career opportunities for students currently enrolled within their education centre.
Apprenticeships are a brilliant way for students to earn while they learn, and develop skills that they will not learn at university because everything cannot be taught via a book.
Overall, the day was a huge success, with many employers being able to communicate directly with college officials, and begin to prepare to take on the next generation of the UK, making sure the train them in a diverse and effective way.
